CONCERNING THE PROPOSED INTERNET ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY OF
THE UNITED STATES VIRGIN ISLANDS DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the United States Virgin Islands Department of Education ("VIDOE") will hold public hearings to inform parents, educators and all other interested parties about the VIDOE's proposed new Internet Acceptable Use Policy and to receive public comments regarding the same. The hearings will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at the following times and locations: 9:00 a.m. at the Curriculum Center, Kings Hill, St. Croix; 3:00 p.m. at the Curriculum Center, #386 Annas Retreat, St. Thomas; and 3:00 p.m. at Julius E. Sprauve School, Cruz Bay, St. John. The public hearings are being held pursuant to Section 1721(a) of the federal Children's Internet Protection Act.
