14 ILLEGAL ALIENS APPREHENDED SUNDAY ON ST. JOHN

April 5, 2004- Fourteen undocumented aliens — 10 women and four men — were apprehended at several St. John sites on Sunday, according to Sgt. Thomas Hannah, Police Department spokesman.
Police officers picked up the individuals at Salt Pond, Calabash Boom and Centerline Road, Hannah said on Monday.
While police officials are certain the aliens reached St. John by boat, he said, no vessel was stopped, nor is it known when the individuals arrived.
Hannah identified those picked up as seven women and one man from China, two men from the Dominican Republic, and three women and one man from Haiti. He said all were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, who were not immediately available for comment.
