CORAL BAY COMMUNITY COUNCIL HAS 2 APRIL EVENTS

April 1, 2004 – The Coral Bay Community Council has two activities on its April calendar.
The first is a planning session to help the council forge a vision of what its members want Coral Bay to be. It will be held from 9 a.m. until noon on April 17 at Voyages Restaurant in Coral Bay.
The second is a potluck dinner set for 5:30 p.m. on April 19 at the John's Folly Learning Center.
Discussion at the planning session will center on "what will Coral Bay look like in the future in terms of land development, infrastructure services and population?" Sharon Coldren, council president, said. Information gained from this and future sessions will help guide the council's actions, she said.
Coldren said the council wants to hear from all members of the community, not just those who have become members of the organization.
The entire community also is invited to the potluck, which is being held with the hope of increasing membership.
Jeff Donnelly, a Coral Bay resident who is organizing the potluck, said the event will provide an opportunity for residents to meet their neighbors and talk about issues pertinent to Coral Bay. It will be an evening "to share in the spirit of the Coral Bay community," he said.
He said those planning to attend should bring "finger foods" that can be eaten without utensils. The council will provide chairs, iced coolers and a tent to provide protection in case of rain.
For more information about the planning session or the organization, call the council's office at 776-2099. For details about the potluck, call Donnelly at 693-5457.
