WAPA SCHEDULES WATER DISRUPTION SUNDAY

March 10, 2004 — WAPA has scheduled a two-hour water service disruption on Sunday, March 14, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for the entire Charlotte Amalie water distribution system as contractors make improvements to the Sara Hill pump station.
The work is being done to prevent unscheduled interruptions to the station, which is the main pumping station for the Charlotte Amalie distribution system.
During the repairs, WAPA will gravity-feed potable water to the Charlotte Amalie system, which may result in low water pressure. Customers in higher elevations may not have water at all.
The East End water distribution system will not be affected by the service disruption.
