85 TURN OUT TO PROTEST VESSUP DEVELOPMENT

Having resided in St. Thomas in the early '80s and enjoyed all of the beaches on the east end of the island, I find this very hard to believe.
You people who live on these islands really don't understand that the developers really don't give a darn what we (the lay person) feel. They're willing to fight (with big corporate dollars) to keep out the native individuals.
When one can go to the beach at any time, I call food for the soul and cleansing the spirit.
I personally can't believe that St. Thomians are not going to ban together to preserve a small piece of freedom and tranquility for all generations past and to come.
STAND FIRM TO YOUR BEAUTY AND PRISTINE BEACHES.
