Feb. 24, 2004 – The Board of Education will conduct two workshops on college financial aid available to high school seniors Thursday on St. Croix, one each public high school.
All seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend to get information on how the school board might assist them in pursuing their educational goals. "Parents are encouraged to use time granted under the Parents-Students School Participation Program for this purpose," a release issued by the board on Tuesday states.
The workshops will address financial assistance available to both students and public employees, the release says.
The first session is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Education Complex High School.
The second session is to begin at 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Central High School.
According to the release, "the board may be contacted to conduct similar workshops for other student and community organizations."
For more information, call the board office at 772-4244 or 774-4546.
