Feb. 8, 2004 – February activities at Michael J. Kirwan Elementary School have been announced.
— Feb. 10, from 8:15 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. – Report cards will be distributed, to parents.
— Feb. 13 – Students will celebrate Black History Month with an African Dress-up Day and Rap Contest in the school cafeteria, starting at 9 a.m. Rap compositions relative to the life of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. will be presented, a release said.
Miss Valentines will also be selected during this program.
— Feb. 17 – Students will be dismissed at 1 p.m., to facilitate monthly faculty and staff meetings.
— Feb. 19, at 5:30 p.m. – The monthly PTA meeting will highlight the UVI Family Life Program.
