ST. THOMAS TITLE SEARCHES BEING DONE MANUALLY

Feb. 2, 2004 – The Office of the Recorder of Deeds on St. Thomas has been experiencing computer problems since last Thursday and as a result all title searches are being done manually, according to a release issued Monday by the Lieutenant Governor's Office.
Repairs are under way "and every effort is being made to resolve this situation immediately," the release stated.
The office is located in the Builders Emporium complex behind Roy L. Schneider Hospital. For more information, call Wilma Hart Smith, recorder of deeds, at 774-9906.
