STARFEST 10 APPLICATION DEADLINE NOW FEB. 6

Jan. 23, 2004 – The application deadline for individuals and groups interested in participating in STARfest 10 has been extended to Feb. 6.
STARfest is the annual talent revue produced by the Reichhold Center for the Arts and presented on its stage on the University of the Virgin Island St. Thomas campus. Professional direction, sound, lighting and choreography have been hallmarks of the event from its inception. Shows traditionally have been presented on the Mother's Day weekend, and that will be the case again this year, with performances on May 8 and 9.
Seasoned professionals as well as singers, dancers, musicians, comics and other performers looking to be "discovered" are encouraged to apply. While application is open to residents of St. John, St. Croix and Water Island, those selected must commit to a rigorous rehearsal schedule in addition to the nights of performances. (For a look at last year's 9th annual STARfest production, see "STARfest 9 taking its cues from 'Star Search'".)
Applications for STARfest 10 are available on St. Thomas at Parrot Fish Music, Krystal & Gifts Galore, both Modern Music stores and the UVI bookstore, located on the Sports and Fitness Center. For more information call the Reichhold office at 693-1550.
