ST. CROIX PROJECT BIDDING INFORMATION AVAILABLE

Jan. 21, 2004 – The Public Works Department is hosting an "open house" on Jan. 29 to share information with local businesses about bidding on an upcoming road construction and water main project on St. Croix.
The information will be available from 3 to 7 p.m. at Gertrude's Restaurant in Castle Coakley.
Companies qualifying under the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program will be eligible for 24 percent participation in the project, according to Robert Moorehead, assistant commissioner. It is anticipated that the contracts for the Midland Road reconstruction and 12-inch water main project will total between $2 million and $5 million, he said.
