NISSMAN'S VISION OF BUSINESS INPUT WINS PRAISE

Dear Source,
Very impressive! I applaud U.S. Attorney David Nissman for his enthusiasm. (See "Nissman touts EDC ties to Salt River attraction".) The possibilities are great when the intentions reach into the foundation of those wonderful islands, the residents. I've done a little industrial contracting in the islands and have developed an interest in returning to do some more.
One thing I can say about the financial problems in the U.S.V.I. is that, in my opinion, local businesses including government and utilities suffer unfair pricing on many projects. I would like to see the Economic Development Commission evolve rapidly, and I feel that good work at an honest price, employing local manpower and on-the-job training for local youths is a good start.
I firmly believe that the economic future for the islands is very bright, and I know that as a business owner, I can generate some very positive scenarios, one goal being to contribute to the financial independence of the islands, another being to prosper as a company and resident.
