It is about time that the prison here was made into a prison.
There is no reason to feed and house people who have violated the rules of society that got them into prison, in a more comfortable manner than those whose lives and properties they violated.
A nice steady diet of very plain food, nutritious but totally plain, would be a good first step. Television, radio, and telephones should be denied, no creature comforts such as air-conditioning or other amenities allowed.
It might be good for the territory to use prisoner labor to sort and wrap the garbage, which is the procedure which is contemplated by the V.I. government.
Going to prison should be a cause for terror in the miscreant.
