St. Croix Environmental Association members and friends are invited to tour the National Radio Astronomy Observatory facility on the far East End at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Director Pete Allen will host a tour of the 82-foot dish antenna that is part of the Very Long Baseline Array, a scientific observation tool which began construction in 1986 and was completed in 1993, with ten antennas extending from Mauna Kea, Hawaii, on one end, and St. Croix on the other.
To sign up for the tour, call Emy Thomas at 778-1952.
