May 12, 2003 – Herbert R. Tillery will be the keynote speaker for the second annual Alexander A. Farrelly Public Service Award dinner sponsored by Virgin Islanders for Responsive Government. Dr. Alfred O. Heath, former Health commissioner, will receive the public service award for 2003.
Tillery is the deputy mayor of operations for the Washington, D.C., government.
The dinner will be held June 14 at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa on St. Thomas at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the dinner will go toward the organization's philanthropic and humanitarian program.
Tickets to the black-tie dinner are $100 per plate, and are available from Private Collections in Sub Base, First Choice Boutique at Market Square and Nisky Pharmacy. Tickets are also available by calling June Adams at 777-3648.
