April 30, 2003 – The University of the Virgin Islands community and personal development unit will conduct the seven-week International Computer Driving License Program in early summer on both campuses.
Registration is currently ongoing now through May 9 on St. Thomas, and May 22 through June 13 on St. Croix. The program is a globally recognized training and certification program that provides a gateway for individuals to raise their level of knowledge in fundamental computer concepts and skills.
The training program targets anyone who has a desire to use a computer competently and requires no prior knowledge or experience. Students will work in seven modules and will master basic concepts, managing files, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentations, using the Web and e-mail.
The training schedule is as follows:
St. Thomas:
— May 13 through June 14 (Weeks1-4)
— July 22 through August 9 (Weeks 5-7).
St. Croix:
— June 17 through July 19 (Weeks1-4)
— August 12 through August 30 (Weeks 5-7).
