The fourth in a series of American Association of Retired Persons Issues Forums will be held Oct. 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Charlotte Amalie High School auditorium to query candidates for the Legislature.
The forums will have a moderator and a panel of four AARP volunteers will question candidates on specific issues. Audience members will then have an opportunity to submit written questions to the candidates.
The forums will start on time and the candidates will adhere to the time limits and topics. The forum will be televised by TV2.
Among issues the panel will raise: GERS unfounded liabilities, health care system improvements, Medicaid cap, long-term health care, Tobacco Settlement Funds, public transportation, homeowners insurance, environmental monitoring and protection.
