LESU CALLS FOR FAIRNESS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Dear Source,
The members of the Law Enforcement Supervisors Union, Local 118 St. Thomas/St. John District would like to publicly announce that we are currently active after a prolonged period of stagnation.
Here, in the Virgin Islands, we have a total of approximately 110 members, which may seem to be a small amount however, we all have at least two or three additional family members who are of the voting age.
We also want our candidates to know that we are concerned about our future government officials. We are concerned about who will be our next leader. Will that person be concerned about our police department? A department that has been neglected for too long. Will someone step in and assure police officers that the police department will be governed by our "Blue Book," The Rules and Procedures of the Virgin Islands Police Department? Will someone assure police officers that blatant fraternization and favoritism will be discontinued? Will someone assure police officers that our unions will be relieved of being forced to file grievances because the Department refuses to abide by the contractual agreement between the Virgin Islands Government and the LESU and the PBA.
Will someone step up to the plate? We are seeking such a person, candidates we are waiting to hear from you.

Secretary/Spokesperson
