May 24, 2002 Community members who have been collecting bottle caps from Coca-Cola products for UVI's "Caps for Cash" are urged to drop them off at the bins. The deadline to turn them in for UVI's benefit is noon Tuesday, May 28, according to a UVI release.
St. Croix drop-offs are at UVI's student housing office in the residence hall; look for the bin outside the hall from Friday until Tuesday noon. Other St. Croix locations are both Plaza Extra supermarkets, Centerline Bakery and Schooner Bay Market Place.
For each six-foot-tall bin full of caps collected, Coca-Cola will donate $1,000 to UVI for student scholarships, as part of the Tom Joyner Foundation May scholarship drive.
LAST CHANCE FOR BOTTLE CAPS TO = UVI DOLLARS
