ORAL MUSIC HISTORY WORKSHOP HAS OPENINGS

May 6, 2002 – The Alton Augustus Adams Music Research Institute (AMRI) has extended the application deadline through Friday, May 10, for the "Documenting Living Treasures" workshop on collecting, documenting, and recording V.I. musical traditions.
The free five-day workshop will be held June 4-8 at the Virgin Islands Cultural Heritage Institute.
Applications are available at the V.I. State Historic Preservation Office, 17 Kongens Gade, and at the V.I. Cultural Heritage Institute, 5-6 Kongens Gade, the street popularly known as "Education Street," down from Government Hill.
