INTERISLAND BASKETBALL TOURNEY AT NEW CENTER

April 17, 2002 – High school seniors in both districts will have an opportunity to compete in the new Mark C. Marin Center on the Antilles School campus, and friends and families can watch exciting basketball.
Antilles School has announced that the First Annual Varsity Basketball Tournament will be held in the facility the weekend of April 19-21.
Varsity girls teams participating include Educational Complex and Central High School from St. Croix and Antilles, Charlotte Amalie and Eudora Kean High Schools from St. Thomas. Varsity boys teams include St. Joseph High School from St. Croix and Antilles, All Saints, Charlotte Amalie and Eudora Kean High Schools from St. Thomas-St. John.
Action begins at 3 p.m. Friday and will continue into the evening. Play will resume on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with games being played all day until 7 p.m. The finals will start at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The public is invited. Daily admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students. Parking is available next to the MCM Center and on the Antilles campus above the Center, if needed. Refreshments will be available throughout the tournament.
