The Hospital Queen will be crowned at 4 p.m., with a parade and program to follow at 5 p.m. Both events will be held in front of the hospital lobby.
"It's to bring the Carnival to those people who can't get to Carnival," said Deanna Smith, a hospital staff member who is organizing the event.
The public is invited to join patients, hospital staff, their families and seniors from Ebenezer Gardens, Strive Center, Queen Louise Home, Lucinda Millin Home, Seaview, and Massac Nursing Home for the event.
The show includes performances by Ulla Muller Quadrille Dancers, The Sebastien Majorettes, John McCleverty Mocko Jumbies, Rising Stars Steel Orchestra, Pan In Motion, Addelita Cancryn Marching Band, and The Stunts and Twirlers Majorettes. Additionally the Gypsies, Elskoe and Associates, Fun Lovers, Tropical Masqueraders, and the Traditional Indians Carnival troupes will be on hand.
Irvin "Brownie" Brown will serve as master of ceremonies.
Smith also expects Carnival royalty and others who were crowned at various pageants to attend.
