ARTISTS MUST SUBMIT SLIDES SOON FOR P.R. SHOW

April 8, 2002 – Artists wishing to be considered for inclusion in a group showing of Virgin Islands paintings at the Museo de las Americas in Old San Juan must submit slides of their work by June 1.
The juried exhibition will open on Nov. 5 and run through mid-January of next year. Called "VIA Colectiva," it is being coordinated by the V.I. Cultural Heritage Institute, sponsored by Banco Popular of the V.I. and supported by the V.I. Council on the Arts and Hovensa.
To be considered for participation, artists must have been born in the Virgin Islands or have lived in the territory for at least 10 years. Slides should be sent to the Cultural Heritage Institute. For a prospectus and further information on the exhibition, call 774-9537.
