MAN ARRESTED FOR PAROLE VIOLATION

July 27, 2001 – A St. Thomas man who violated conditions of his parole was arrested by U.S. marshals outside his residence Thursday morning.
The U.S. Marshals Office executed an arrest warrant on 41-year-old Jeff M. Thomas of 2V-1 1 B Estate Nazareth.
Linda Valerino, deputy U.S. marshal, said Thursday night that when officers arrived, "Thomas ran out the back door, where he was met by another marshal, who took him into custody after subduing him."
Valerino said that Thomas had served time on local charges dating back to 1990 of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, weapons possession and third-degree assault.
He was arrested on the same day the warrant for parole violation was issued.
