Here is a complete list of what's happening at Chris Sawyer Dive Center for the month of October.
Oct. 8 Sunday Picnic Dive- This 2 tank am dive will end in a picnic. We will supply sodas and ice. You bring your picnic lunch. A nice way to spend some extra time with your dive buddies.
Oct. 28 Under water pumpkin carving contest- This 2 tank dive will meet at 12:30 p.m. at our shop at the Renaissance Grand. The first dive is an underwater pumpkin carving. The jack-o-lanterns will be judged for prizes. The second dive will be just for fun.
Oct. 29 Sunday- This date is the anniversary of the sinking of R.M.S. Rhone. In honor of this anniversary we will be doing a all day trip including 2 dives on the wreck. Meets at 7 a.m. and returns to St. Thomas approximately 4 p.m. Proof of citizenship required.
Oct. 21 & 22 Annual used equipment sale at our shop at the American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook. Lots of great deals on used equipment and odds and ends.
Classes available in Oct. include. PADI Open water certification starting on Oct 2 or Oct. 16 and again on Oct. 30. Class meets evenings and weekends. Call 777-7804 for information or to sign up.
Oct 14 PADI Advanced open water class begins. Great way to improve your diving skills.
Sneak preview of November
Sunday Nov. 5 The Best of the BVI- Two great sites in the BVI but not the Wreck of the Rhone. Could be painted walls, the Indians or some other wonderful site.
We are offering 2 specialty dives in Nov: Nov. 19 is the Underwater naturalist and Nov. 26 is the underwater photo dive for beginner photographers. Both promise to be educational and fun.
PADI open water certification evening and weekend classes start on Nov. 13 and again on Nov. 27. Only two weeks to become a certified diver.
Of course our weekly Wreck of the Rhone dives will take place every Friday during the month of November.
