30 MORE CHINESE TURNED OVER TO IMMIGRATION

Police picked up 30 illegal Chinese immigrants in Frenchman's Bay in the vicinity of Antilles School shortly after midnight Monday, according to a Police Department release.
The men were taken to Zone A Command in the Farrelly Criminal Justice Center and later Tuesday were transported to U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service detention facilities in Sub Base.
"INS agents from Puerto Rico were on island Tuesday and assisted in the processing of the individuals," the release stated.
In another case Tuesday, the same release stated, a 27-year-old woman reported that she had been kidnaped and raped by a man who offered her a ride in Red Hook. Police records indicated that after the man assaulted the woman on Vessup Beach, he drove her to Cowpet Bay. She was taken to Roy L. Schneider Hospital for medical attention.
The release stated that "a description of the suspect was reported" but provided only the information that the woman described her assailant as "a black male."
