Emancipation Garden will be home to weekly cultural fairs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Aug 16. The USVI Tourism Department and the Committee to Revive Our Culture will host the fair every Wednesday.
Tourism Administrative Assistant Clorise Smith said the fairs were something the department felt was needed and they will continue indefinitely.
According to a press release, the Tourism Department is seeking participation from arts and crafts persons, dancers, musicians and entertainers for the weekly events.
According to a release from the Tourism Department, free registration will be available to all interested in participating 10 a.m. to 4p.m. August 7 – 14 at the Native Arts and Crafts Cooperative located across from Emancipation Garden. All artists are asked to submit a sample of their work at time of registration.
