IMPROVEMENTS MADE TO SMITH BAY ROAD

Motorists on the Smith Bay road from Texaco to the Renaissance are in for a pleasant surprise. After months of bobbing and weaving to avoid cavernous potholes that have been there since the rains of last fall, the holes have been patched.
Thanks to the Public Works Department, repairs have been made to the holes in front of Point Pleasant Resort, and temporary patches have been placed on the holes in front of the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort.
Smith Bay road is the gateway to the East End's resort hotels and Coral World, a major tourist attraction.
