CAHS NEWS – JANUARY 20

Eight Contestants Vie for the Title of Miss Charlotte Amalie High Amalie

As we bring in a new century excitement , energy, intellect and beauty –
with a touch of glamour will unfold, and a new Miss CAHS will be crowned
before hundreds of friends, relatives, and the general audience.
This marvelous gala , our annual Miss Charlotte Amalie High School Pageant, will take place on Saturday, Feb 5,2000 in the school`s auditorium.
Ticket sales will be announced shortly and can be purchased from the Physical Education Department.
The event will showcase eight beautiful contestants all in their junior
year, and the winner will reign until this time in her senior year.
Contestants include:
No.1 Marlene Neaves, No.2 La Monique Morris, No.3 Blondie Tuitt, No.4 Tanna Abraham, No.5 Joya Pogson, No.6 Nixa Clarke, No.7 Jaime Mercer, and No.8 Marisel Melendez .
Our current Miss CAHS, Denita Lima, will grace the crowd with her presence and place the prized crown upon one and only one contestant.
Who will it be?
Why not come out and see for yourself.
Do come and support our girls in this grand gala full of elegance, splendor,brains and beauty. This is one of the biggest events at C. A. H. S. and it is one that should not be missed, especially since the proceeds will go towards assisting the physical education department and its programs.
BASKETBALL SEASON AT CHARLOTTE AMALIE HIGH SCHOOL

With the eagerly anticipated basketball season approaching, this new
semester promises to be one of fun filled competition.
Many students were practicing daily to help improve their skills
which would secure them a spot on the basketball team.
Tryouts are over now and the twelve lucky charms chosen to represent Charlotte Amalie High School are: Houston Penn, Kelvin Gonzales, Andrew Christian, Akim Lettsome, Jahsan Page, Kaimall Richardson, Rafel Felix, Kevin Lawrence, Robert O’Neil, Rashawn Murraine, Steve Gardener, William Jeffers, Levar Antoine, and Dormois Bazile.
The team will be coached by Mr. Estrill and assisted by Mr.Solomon.
