MARION R. WEBER DIES AT 88

Marion ReHill Weber of St. Thomas peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. Mrs. Weber was born in Groton, Ct. on July 27, l911.
Mrs. Weber and her husband, Lind Sr. moved to St. John in 1949 and rehabilitated the then Caneel Bay Plantation. Both were well known in the hospitality business in the Caribbean area.
Mr. Weber predeceased his wife in 1961.
Mrs. Weber opened the Sea Horse Inn in 195l and was at the Contant location until 1961 when the operation was moved to the East End and became known as Sea Horse Cottages.
Survivors are her sister, Ann Wesley of Hendersonville, N.C. and four children: Lind Jr., Richard ReHill, Wendy Weber Noble and Eleanor Weber Backlund, all of St. Thomas; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
