TERRITORY'S SECOND HOMICIDE

A 37-year-old Dominica native has become the territory's second homicide victim of the new year, and St. Thomas' first.
The as-yet-unidentified man was wounded by gunshots to the back and right foot at about 9:30 Thursday morning. The man died at the scene, according to Deputy Police Chief Theodore Carty.
Police responded to a call to 22-14 Contant where they found the man lying on his back.
No motive has been established and it was not clear as of publication if the weapon had been recovered.
The police are asking anyone with information to call homicide detectives at 774-2196, 774-4050 or emergency 911.
