UVI TO OFFER SIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING IN SPRING

A non-credit American Sign Language Interpreters Training course will be offered evenings for spring semester on both campuses of the University of the Virgin Islands.
Through its V.I. University-Affiliated Program, UVI is offering the course as the first in a series. It is open to beginners in signing. The course fee is $100.
Classes on the St. Thomas campus will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., beginning Jan. 12. Those on the St. Croix campus are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 8:15 p.m. beginning Jan. 13.
Registration on St. Thomas will take place on Friday, Jan. 7, between 4 and 6 p.m. in Room 114 of the Teacher Education Building. Registration on St. Croix will be held on Monday, Jan. 10, between 4 and 6 p.m. at Golden Grove No. 1, the entrance to the Patrick Sweeney Police Headquarters. For details, call 693-1189.
