POWER TO BE BACK FOR ALL FEEDERS BY SUNDAY

Restoration of power to all St. Croix feeders is expected to be completed by Sunday, Dec. 5, and work will begin around Dec. 15 on the re-energizing of the island's street lights.
That was the word Monday evening from Raymond L. George, executive director of the Water And Power Authority.
George said the restoration work is being completed by WAPA crews only. "The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority was unable to mobilize at this time due to emergencies on Vieques," he said.
Recovery from the effects of Hurricane Lenny "will be essentially complete" on Monday, Dec. 6, he said in a release, "except for the clean-up of areas with isolated problems."
Those who have not yet had power restored are reminded to set all breakers but one to the "off" position and disconnect all appliances and electronic equipment until the current comes back on, to avoid a power surge.
