The lighting of the giant Christmas tree will officially open Havensight Mall's third Dockside Jamboree on Friday.
Billed as a celebration of "an old-fashioned Caribbean Christmas," the event takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Santa "Brownie" Claus will be on hand from 6 to 7 p.m. to help light the tree and greet children. There will be music by Deep Unda Kova, Imaginations Brass, Seabreeze and the Territorial Court Rising Stars Steel Orchestra.
Mocko jumbies, Christmas carolers and Mama the dog will be making the rounds. Exhibitors will have handicrafts, food and drink for sale, and tickets will be on sale for a raffle to be held on Christmas Eve.
