DAILY NEWS UNIONIZATION VOTE POSTPONED

A vote on whether Virgin Islands Daily News employees want to be represented by a union was postponed because of Hurricane Lenny, according to the St. Thomas office of the Steelworkers Union.
The vote had been set for Nov. 18 and 19. A National Labor Relations Board staff member from Puerto Rico was to have flown to the territory to oversee the election.
No new date had been set as of Monday.
