V.I. 10 K ROAD RACE

Twenty-three runners met at Four Winds Plaza on Sunday at 6:30 a.m. to run 6.2 hot hilly miles to the University of the Virgin Islands.
The runners were led by Elvan Yabba Nisbet of St John with a time of 45:02.
The second finisher was Collister Fahie at 47:11, closely followed by Micheal Strubel in 47:14. Claire Ochoa came in right behind the men finishing in 47:17. The second woman finisher was Janelle Zackman came in at 49:43, followed by Zina David in 49:49.
The race was sponsored by the St Thomas Association of Roadrunners. The next STAR event is the half marathon on November 28.
