MINOR STABBED AT VETERANS DAY PARADE

A young boy was stabbed with a knife during a fight near the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School on Thursday afternoon as the Veterans Day parade was beginning to assemble.
According to acting Chief of Police Jose Garcia, enforcement officers from Planning and Natural Resources observed minors fighting in the area of the gas station adjacent to the junior high school. As the officers approached, several minors ran from the scene but were pursued by the officers and placed under arrest.
A knife was confiscated from one of the minors, and he was charged with possession of a deadly weapon.
Virgin Islands law prohibits the public identification of minors charged with felony crimes.
A minor was stabbed during the fracas. He was treated at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital for the injuries sustained.
