NEW CARIBBEAN GOSPEL CONCERT DATE, LOCATION

In the aftermath of Hurricane Lenny, the Friday, Nov. 19, Jubilation! Christian Channel Caribbean Gospel Concert has been canceled, but the Saturay, Nov. 20, portion is still on. It takes place at the V.I National Guard Armory beginning at 7 p.m.
Jubilation!, St. Thomas-St. John Cable channel 56, had rescheduled the two-night presentation from October because of Hurricane Jose. On Saturday, gospel lovers are invited to come "jam for Jesus," rain or shine, at the armory.
The concert features the group Promise from Barbados, J. Errol Lewis from Trinidad, and Virgin Islands artists Harrella Goodwin, the Lansiquot Sisters, Regenerated Singers, Judy Turnbull, Redeemed Brothers, St. John Methodist Youth Connection and Neomie Williams, for a night of live bands and live Caribbean gospel music.
This is the first of a series of concerts to be presented by the Jubilation! Christian Channel. The concert is a fund raiser for the new station. Admission is $20. Ticket outlets are V.I. Christian Ministries Bookstore, Faith Christian Fellowship Bookstore, the Nisky and Vitraco Bible Book and Gift Shops, and MIC Christian Bookstore.
Choir directors and youth leaders can call Jubilation! about discount tickets for groups.
For more information, contact Jubilation! general manager Gloria Gumbs at 776-7635.
