FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS PLANNED

With Father's Day, just around the corner, the Committee for the Betterment of Carenage is holding the 1999 Annual Father's Day Weekend Celebrations in Frenchtown June 18-20. The ribbon cutting marking the start of the weekend of festivities will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 18.
Food, drink, and live music are only a few of the activities slated to take place during the three-day mini-carnival. In addition, the winners of the Mother's Day and Father's Day fishing tournaments will be presented at 7 p.m. on Father's Night.
The event will open with a formal ceremony headlined with the crowning of the 1999 Miss Carenage with "Brownie" Irvin D. Brown acting as Master of Ceremonies.
