Boaters discovered the body of a man drifting in the waters near Little Magens Bay at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, the victim of an apparent drowning.
The Police Investigations Bureau on Monday identified the man as Joseph E. Brin of 2 Caret Bay.
Police officials said Brin may have suffered cardiac arrest while swimming at Magens Bay beach, and his body then drifted with the current.
Police investigators found Brins Chevy Sprint near the beach. They do not suspect foul play.
