MIDDLE-LEVEL CONFERENCE SET APRIL 7-9

Junior high school or middle-level administrators, faculty and staff of the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School, Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School, Julius E. Sprauve School and New Horizons Alternative School will participate in a Middle Level Conference on April 7, 8 and 9 at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort.
The conference will address the challenges of educating young adolescents between elementary and senior high school and the importance of achieving developmentally responsive middle-level schools.
This meeting is a follow-up to a 10-day summer institute on middle-level concepts that was attended by middle-level school administrators and faculty at the University of Maine.
During the upcoming conference, presentations and workshops on issues related to middle-level education will be conducted by experts on the national and local levels.
In order for teachers to participate, parents and guardians of students at Addelita Cancryn, BCB and New Horizons, as well as sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth graders at Julius E. Sprauve School, are advised that classes will not be held on Thursday, April 8, or Friday, April 9. Classes will resume Monday, April 12.
