CHILDREN TO GET BREAKFAST FOR LUNCH

Many children in the territory don't eat breakfast, according to Elodia Weekly, state director of Special Nutrition Programs. And it's a problem.
"A hungry child can't concentrate and consequently can't learn," she said.
Beginning at 10:30 a.m. today at Addelita Cancryn Junior High School, students will be served breakfast so they "can see and taste what they are missing when they skip breakfast," Weekly said in a release from the Education Department.
Officials from the Mid-Atlantic Region of the U.S. Department of Agriculture who are in the territory have been invited to the
breakfast-lunch meal.
The event is being held to highlight the benefits of the breakfast program that is available at the school.
