3 ANTILLES STUDENTS FINALISTS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Three Antilles School students — Dwight Branch, Sennai Habtes and Mahlena Rae Johnson — have moved into the finalist stage for the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
The achievement program is a nationwide academic competition conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corp. to honor academically able black students. Selection is based on achievement on the 1997 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
More than 100,000 black students entered the program. There are approximately 1,200 finalists, based on test scores and a record of high performance in school.
The three Antilles students are in line for a scholarship of $2,000.
