HEARING SET FEB. 25 ON 8 REZONING REQUESTS

Eight rezoning requests will be considered at a Planning and Natural Resources public hearing at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in the Senate Chambers.
The eight requests:
— Salvador Bryan is seeking a change from R-1 (Residential-low density) to B-3 (Business-scattered) for parcel No. 17-2 Estate St. Peter to operate a grocery, bar and restaurant, and/or a plant nursery on this .85-acre lot on Hull Bay Road above Bryan's Bar.
— Jean Dragin, owner of parcel No. 101 Smith Bay, wants a change from R-3 (Residential-medium density) to B-2 (Business-secondary/neighborhood). The 1-acre parcel is across from Kilnworks, on the south side of Smith Bay. Dragin plans to manufacture screens and balustres, and rent space for other business uses.
— John M. and Erma M. Lynch are requesting a change for parcel No. 8Ad Estate Ross, No. 8 New Quarter, from R-3 (Residential-medium density) to B-2 (Business-secondary/neighborhood) for retail, office and other business uses. The 18,249-square-foot unpaved lot on William G. Lewis Lane near Barbel Plaza South has been used for parking.
— The Alton A. Adams Sr. Trust, represented by Patrick Adams, wants a change from R-3 (Residential-medium density) to B-3 (Business-scattered) for parcel No. 1B Kongens Gade, Charlotte Amalie, to use the existing structure for professional and engineering offices.
— St. Andrews Episcopal Church is seeking a change from R-4 (Residential-medium density) to B-1 (central business district) for parcels No. 31 and 33 First Ave. to expand the footprint of the church, which will be renovated to elevate the ground floor structure above flood levels.
— First Church of God of the U.S. Virgin Islands is seeking a change from R-1 (Residential-low density) to R-3 (Residential-medium density) for parcel No. 11 Estate Bolongo Bay to use the existing residential structure for a church.
— The V.I. Housing Finance Authority wants a change from P (Public) to R-4 (Residential-medium density) for parcel No. 1C-1 Estate Honduras to sell the 3,080-square-foot parcel above the public catchment for a residence.
— Alcedo Rabsatt wants a change from R-2 (Residential-low density one and two-family) to R-4 (Residential-medium density) for his 5,500-square-foot homesite at No. 12W Estate Frydenhoj to add one dwelling unit to the existing single-family home.
