KENNEDY, RANGEL FEATURED AT FUND-RAISER

Reps. Patrick J. Kennedy and Charles B. Rangel will be the lure to reel in the big fish at a fund-raiser Feb. 28 in St. Thomas to benefit the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Invitations put the cost of entry at $1,000 for a sponsor and $5,000 for a host.
The 16 people listed as issuing the invitation include Gov. Charles W. Turnbull, Lt. Gov. Gerard Luz James II, Senate President Vargrave Richards and — a ringer — George Blackhall, president of the St. Thomas-St. John branch of the Republican Party.
The reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. that Sunday at #13 Estate Elizabeth.
V.I. Delegate Donna M. Christian-Christensen is listed prominently on the invitation, with Kennedy of Rhode Island and Rangel of New York, as one of the stars of the evening.
Sending the invitation, in addition to Turnbull, James, Richards and Blackhall, were 12 others, most of them well-known in local political and business circles.
They are James A. O'Bryan, June Adams, James Thompson, Neil and Annie Weiss, Luis Bared Jr., Tana Mullendore, Carmen Gonzalez, Clarice Blake, John de Jongh, Marilyn Blackhall and Lee Rohn.
