CALL TO ARTISTS

The 11th Anniversary of the St. Thomas-St. John Arts Council is coming up. The show will open March 21 at Coral World.
Artists wishing to display are required to have entries in to STAC no later than March 15. Artwork to be included in the show must be dropped off to Coral World March 20, between the hours of 12 noon and 4 p.m.
There will be a poster contest for the event. The deadline for poster drop office March 1. Entries can be submitted either at the STAC office (774-8900) in Trompeter Gade, Charlotte Amalie or to Mary Blazine's office (693-7765) above Luscious Licks in St. John. The poster size is 11 x 17 and it is full color. The work must be ready for copying on a color copier. It should include the following copy: 11th Annual Caribbean Colour Art Exhibition, March 21, 1999 – April 18, 1999, Coral World, St. Thomas. Space must be left at the top for the STAC logo and at the bottom for the address and phone number for STAC.
This year STAC will also be putting together a quilt to raffle. The theme of the quilt is "Colorful Faces"and will be a mélange of 8 inch squares created by local artists. Fabric swatches were sent to artist's along with the entry forms. If you did not receive a swatch and care to contribute, call the council office.
