Monday night in the Bob Owens Slow-pitch Softball League featured the four remaining undefeated teams in this year’s playoffs, and when the dust cleared only the Seaborne Stealers and Wyatt Heat remained unblemished.

Wyatt Heat, Speak the Word and the Cartel all advanced to the next round of the Bob Owens Slow Pitch Softball League playoffs Tuesday night at D.C. Canegata Ball Park.

The Dominicanos softball team of St. Thomas came to St. Croix over the weekend and took home the championship trophy after beating Puerto Rico 15-11 at the Estate Profit Ball Park in front of a raucous pro-Dominicanos crowd.

St. Croix Central High School wrapped up its Junior Varsity Basketball Tournament Sunday afternoon with the Host Caribs taking the boys championship from John Woodson Junior high 46-36, and Bertha C. Boschulte of St. Thomas taking the Girls championship over the host lady Caribs in a 33-30 barn burner.

The Ronald Charles Basketball Association, after giving way to the CHS JV Basketball tournament on Friday and Saturday, was back in action Sunday afternoon in the Ronald Charles Basketball Arena on the Central High campus.

The 2010 local triathlon season begins on Sunday, March 14, with the West Is Best Triathlon. The Sprint Distance and Try-A-Tri races will be held at Coconuts on the Beach in Frederiksted.
