 The St. Croix Dolphins Swim Team has been working with public schools teaching children general water safety, proper swimming techniques, and confidence in and around the water since the inception of the “Every Child a Swimmer” program in 2003.

 The St. Croix Council of the Navy League of the United States will be disbanded on June 30. At a luncheon meeting on March 10, members of the council agreed almost unanimously that there was no longer sufficient desire to continue the activities of the council.

 United Sates Coast Guard Auxiliary has announced its sponsorship of a Recreational Safe Boating event to help promote National Safe Boating Week, May 18-24, the official launch of the 2013 North American Safe Boating Campaign.

 The St. Croix Environmental Association invites youth of all ages and abilities to register for an Art in Nature workshop series. The workshops will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on three Saturdays: May 25, June 8 and June 22.

 SEA's Summer Camp Program provides field excursions and hands-on environmental learning activities for children enrolled in summer camps all across St. Croix.

 Cultural Conquest Association Inc. (CCA) is a newly-founded, non-profit organization that plans to give back to the community.

 Groundbreaking for Catholic Charities' new three-story, permanent, supportive housing, soup kitchen, outreach center and administrative office facility was held Friday, April 12.

 As part of their Finer Womanhood Celebration, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. -- Nu Chi Zeta Chapter donated personal care items to the Lighthouse Mission on Saturday, April 6.
