No Record of Guns Confiscated by DPNR Cop Accused of Drug Smuggling

HUMANITIES FESTIVAL AT UVI

The University of the Virgin Islands' Humanities Division will kick off its first-ever Humanities Festival with an opening reception March 19 at the Reichhold Center for the Arts. Entitled, "The Humanities at the Threshold of the New Millennium," the week-long festival will consist of a series of lectures, scholarly presentations and performances featuring some of the Caribbean's most prolific scholars, poets, dramatists, artists and historians.

TOURISM SELECTS FINALISTS FOR FCCA CONTEST

Two finalists have been selected for the 1999 Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Children's Environmental Poster Competition. A panel of five judges selected Cary Eaglin, Jr., an 11th grader at St. Croix Central High School and Sophia Mwaura (Maw-oo-ra), a second-grader at Joseph Sibilly Elementary School to compete for the final FCCA awards.
