The St. Croix Federation of Teachers is offering five $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who are the children of AFT members.

Disability Rights Center of the Virgin Islands and the Government of the Virgins Islands will hold Town Hall meetings to discuss the settlement of the class action in regard to V.I. Alliance, et al v. Government., et al-Civil No. 2003/182.

Maria Encarnacion Bido of Herbert Grigg Homefor the Aged died on March 6. She was 94 years old. She moved to  St. Croix in 1975.

The University of the Virgin Islands celebrates the 48th anniversary of its founding during the month of March, which is recognized as Charter Month. UVI will conduct a Charter Day ceremony, present a lecture as part of the Alfred O. Heath Distinguished Lecture Series, and hold a 5K Walk/Run on St. Croix.  

The St. Croix Environmental Association will hold its SEAing GREENer Masquerade Ball and Auction beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 13.

The University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, in the Administration and Conference Center on UVI’s St. Thomas campus.

The 10th Virgin Islands Nonpoint Source Pollution Conference will be held May 6-7, at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa in Estate Smith Bay.

Nathaniel Franklin of Hannah's Rest died on Feb. 28. He was 82 years old.

Paul H.A. Bannis of Two Brothers died on Feb. 25, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 68 years old.
