The St. Croix Pirate Adventure crew has announced the first St. Croix Pirate Adventure, a three-day extravaganza of pirates, parades and festivities in paradise from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26 (Memorial Day Weekend).

 After a year’s absence from the local scene, Interfaith Coalition of St. Croix has announced the revival of their popular movie night series now known as the Interfaith Coalition Multi-Cultural Film Series.

 VI Council on the Arts, a division of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, has organized Poetry Out Loud (POL), which encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization, performance and competition.

 Caribbean Community Theatre (CCT) presents the musical revue “Smokey Joe’s Café – The Songs of Leiber and Stoller” for three weekends in February.

 The Henle Studio Fine Art Gallery at No. 55 Company St. in Christiansted will celebrate its 20th anniversary from 5:30-9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11 and from 5-8 p.m. on Art Thursday, Jan. 17.

CCT presents its final show of the season, “I Take This Man,” – a cross between a romantic comedy and a screwball farce – by playwright Jack Sharkey.
